摘要: The sympathomimetic psychomotor stimulants, including cocaine, amphetamines, and the phenylethylamine amphetamine-like derivatives, exert actions in mammalian systems that implicate involvement of excitatory neurotransmitter, glutamate its receptors. Despite evidence stimulants do not directly stimulate receptors, blockade acute lethal, convulsive, circulatory, thermoregulatory, locomotor stereotypical responses, as well interference with slowly developing behavioral sensitization brain monoaminergic neurotoxicities, can be achieved by receptor antagonists at both N-methyl-D-aspartate AMPA/kainate subtypes. Alterations glutamatergic neurobiology, elevations extracellular levels, changes properties neuronal degeneration, have also been attributed to stimulant administration. Blockade receptors offers therapeutic options management toxicity.
