摘要: Abstract Background. This study investigated the possibility of local lymph node detection and lymphatic mapping following submucosal injection an iodine-based contrast medium. Methods materials. We established a medium (oil/water emulsion on iodine basis) with particle size mainly 1.7±0.1 µm. Ten rabbits received rectal injections underwent repeated projection radiography. Results. Passage into vessels storage in nodes was seen all ten animals. The best achieved within 24 48 h after injection. Lymph were still eight cases final radiograph day 14. There no clinical side effects observed. Injection sites showed mild signs inflammation histological examinations. Pathological not detectable containing media. Conclusions. method appears useful when investigating due to its passage nodes.
