摘要: Abstract Under robust algae growth conditions, algal carbohydrates and proteins typically comprise up to ~ 80% of the ash-free dry weight microalgae biomass. Therefore, production biofuel through comprehensive utilization all components addition high energy density fuel compounds with “fit for purpose” properties or high-value bioproducts will both diminish process cost improve overall feasibility. In this study, we firstly demonstrated concept a “one-pot” bioconversion carbohydrate protein into value-added terpene as advanced value feasibility development engineered microbial consortium. The consortium caryophyllene yielded highest titer total terpene, 507.4 mg/L, including 471 mg/L sesquiterpene, 36.4 mg/L monoterpene, 124.4 mg/L on hydrolysate from Nannochloropsis sp. Additionally, expressing chamigrene synthase produced 187 mg/L 87 mg/L 100 mg/L 62 mg/L benthic polyculture Compared yields extracted plant tissue, consortia increased yield about 3–40 times, which makes it promising alternative pathway production.
