摘要: Suppressors are genes which suppress the expression of mutant phenotypes. The suppressors can be considered to themselves since they generally not found in wild type strains but obtained by selecting for revertants phenotype. A revertant arising a mutation other than base change original codon carries suppressor. If new event occurred at another site within gene, it is called some an intra-locus However, our view this misuse term suppressor originated as designation those mutations occurring and now must defined external or extra-locus further classified being either functional informational suppressors.
