Fine structure in dissociative-attachment cross sections for HCl and DCl

摘要: Regularly spaced decreasing steps are observed in the Cl- cross section. The spacings correspond, within +or-20 MeV, to vibrational levels of HCl and DCl molecules. A schematic section convoluted with measured electron energy distribution is compared data. good agreement suggests that theoretical must present sharp decreases. This appears be a support for interpretation previously given by Fiquet-Fayard (1974). An attempt also made show concept resonant state HCl- meaningful even an electronic autodetachment width as large 1.8 eV.
