摘要: To evaluate the effects of calcium propionate (CaP) supplementation on feed intake, milk yield and composition, energy balance, blood metabolites urine ketones in early lactation Holstein dairy cows from 1 to 63 days (DIM), 32 multiparous cows, blocked by number, previous 305-day production, expected calving date, were arranged into four groups a randomized block design. Treatments control, LCaP, MCaP HCaP with 0, 100, 200 300 g per cow day respectively. The supplement food grade CaP (99.8% CaP) was hand-mixed top one-third daily ration. Cows fed ad libitum total mixed ration consisting equal proportion forage concentrate. Feed components not affected supplementation. expressed as difference between input output, tended be higher (p = 0.08) for CaP-supplemented during 63-DIM period, especially first 21-DIM lactation. Calcium propionate-supplemented showed trend 0.09) towards less loss body weight (BW) period. Concentrations glucose plasma insulin serum relative control linearly < 0.01) increased increasing non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA), beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA) lower at 7, 14 21 DIM decreased These results indicated that nutrient digestibilities status may have been improved.
