摘要: Pinus arizonica is a widely distributed tree species growing in temperate forests of Northwest Mexico where it utilized through different regeneration harvest methods. Yet, management models based on estimations its productive potential are sorely lacking. In this study, procedure to create map using site index (SI) equations and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) was developed. A SI model for P. created the study area used classify group randomly sampled plots three productivity categories (High, Medium, Low) purposes. Climatic, topographic edaphic variables were determined plots. Then, statistically-based analysis performed identify climatic, significantly influencing levels. Based values these significant variables, elaborated whole area. Sites with highest those slopes ≤12°, soil depths ≥0.46 m, minimum maximum mean annual temperatures 5 °C 18 respectively, precipitation ≥900 mm. This methodology could be considered similar species/conditions do not exist or update old rendered obsolete by climate change.
