摘要: Lipophilic phycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by phytoplanktonic species. They accumulate in filter-feeding shellfish and can cause human intoxication. Regulatory limits have been set for individual toxins, the toxicological features well characterized some of them. However, phycotoxin contamination is often a co-exposure phenomenon, data regarding mixtures effects very scarce. Moreover, type occurrence greatly vary from one region to another. This review aims at summarizing knowledge on (i) multi-toxin comprehensive literature (ii) assessment mixture effects. A total 79 publications was selected evaluation, 44 them were suitable toxin ratio calculations. The main featured okadaic acid combination with pectenotoxin-2 or yessotoxin. Only few toxicity studies dealing published. In vivo did not report particular effects, whereas vitro showed synergistic antagonistic Based combinations that most reported, further investigations must be carried out.
