摘要: A POLLINATION NETWORK OF CORNUS FLORIDA By James H. Lee, Master of Science. thesis submitted in partial fulfillment the requirements for degree Science at Virginia Commonwealth University. University, 2014. Director: David Chan, Associate Professor, Dept. Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. From agent-based, correlated random walk model presented, we observe effects varying parameter values maximum insect turning area, δmax, density trees, ω , pollen carryover, κmax, probability fertilization, Pκ on distribution within a population Cornus florida (flowering dogwood). We see that δmax κmax changes dispersal distance pollen, which greatly affects many measures connectivity. The clustering coefficient fathers is maximized when between 60◦ 90◦. Varying does not have major effect fathers, but it greater other genetic diversity. Lastly, compare our simulations with randomly-placed trees actual tree placement C. VCU Rice Center, concluding order to truly understand how distributed specific ecosystem, specificity describing locations necessary.
