摘要: Orthodontic force causes gradual compression of the periodontal ligament tissues, which leads to local hypoxia in side tissues. In this study, we investigated whether antioxidants exert a regulatory effect on two factors: expression pro-inflammatory cytokines human fibroblasts (PDLFs) that were exposed mechanical and rate orthodontic tooth movement rats. Exposure PDLFs (0.5-3.0 g/cm2) or hypoxic conditions increased production intracellular reactive oxygen species. Hypoxic treatment for 24 h mRNA levels IL-1β, IL-6 IL-8 as well vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) PDLFs. Resveratrol (10 nM) N-acetylcysteine (NAC, 20 mM) diminished transcriptional activity hypoxiainducible factor-1 hypoxia-induced VEGF. Combined with significantly IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α VEGF These suppressed by NAC resveratrol. The maxillary first molars rats moved mesially seven days using an appliance. decreased amount compared vehicletreated group. results from immunohistochemical staining demonstrated IL-1β tissues vehicle-treated suggest have potential negatively regulate through down-regulation sides
