A nonlinear interior point based optimal power flow algorithm incorporating series FACTS devices

摘要: This paper presents a new method to incorporate flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) devices in optimal power flow (OPF) problem. Through injection model of FACTS devices, their control is expressed as the additional equations at nodes and branches where are located. These convenient combination with OPF algorithm based on nonlinear interior point (IP) programming. A two-part calculation structure introduced order make full use existing related software EMS. Digital simulations modified IEEE 30-node located multiple present test effectiveness efficiency this work. The study also shows that capable providing an economically technically attractive solution systems congestion problems.
