摘要: Abstract Using a model of continuous degassing the earth and recent data on chemical composition chondritic meteorites, “degassing constant,” α, is determined from argon-40 economy earth. The value assuming an 4.55 × 109 years old, 2.81 10−11 year−1. On assumption that α constant for all volatiles escaping earth, helium discussed. same premise primordial water concentration solid devoid hydrosphere, to be 2300 p.p.m. which compares favourably with 2650 chondrites. small size indicates rate release has been sensibly over past years.
