摘要: Abstract The ability of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), the estrogens, estradiol-17β and diethylstilbestrol, estrogen antagonists, clomiphene enclomiphene citrate to affect growth internalization hypophysectomized rat granulosa cell gap junction membranes was compared in ovarian follicles assigned one four follicle size classes (60–149, 150–249, 250–319, 320–450 μm diameter). In absence exogenous stimulation, atresia prevents beyond 320 diameter but surface membrane increases throughout this early growth. Internalization is first detected at 150- 249-μm stage also with size. Therefore, turnover occur a basal rate gonadotropin or steroid stimulation. Estrogen antagonist injections result no significant differences amount internalized three smallest when untreated animals. However, not antagonists rescues growing from permits their further into 320- 450-μm class. As additional growth, both increase that seen largest contrast other treatments, FSH stimulation promotes amplification all and, like estrogen, entry Surface amplified two- fourfold over treatments classes, reaches maximal levels 250- 319-μm follicles. which appears class dramatically increased 319- classes. These studies indicate indirectly by sustaining synthesis rescued atresia. contrast, directly amplifies developmental sequence turnover. During preferentially junctions while during later
