Evaluation of proteolytic activity to differentiate some dematiaceous fungi.

摘要: A total of 123 isolates Cladosporium spp., Exophiala Fonsecaea Lecythophora hoffmannii, Phaeoannellomyces werneckii, Phialophora Wangiella dermatitidis, and Xylohypha bantiana were tested for proteolytic activity by using 26 different formulations gelatin, milk, casein, Loeffler media. Other physiological properties examined included hydrolysis tyrosine xanthine, sodium nitrate utilization in Czapek Dox agar, thermotolerance. Isolates jeanselmei, compacta, pedrosoi, W. X. lacked activity. Proteolytic was variable among the remaining species, depending on type medium used. Thermotolerance had value distinguishing some taxa.
