Repetitive abortion in Neospora-infected ewes.

摘要: Pregnant ewes inoculated with cultured Neospora caninum tachyzoites in 1995, 1996, or 1995 and 1996 aborted delivered weak clinically normal lambs 1996. Nine of 11 the study had previously produced infected fetuses after being experimentally 1995. Fetuses showed histologic lesions zoites indicative Neospora. Serologic responses production fetuses/lambs indicated systemic neosporosis during gestation, although could not be from maternal tissues. The repetitive infection fetuses, resulting clinical histopathologic findings present are similar to those reported naturally cattle, adding already established similarities between sheep cattle.
