摘要: The administration of anesthesia to a geriatric patient requires meticulous attention detail and clear understanding the impact aging on organ reserve function. Older surgical patients present for surgery with complicated medical histories, limited physiologic reserve, frequently unpredictable responses anesthetic agents [1, 2]. In general, elderly frail underlying chronic disease can be less tolerant brief episodes hemodynamic instability such as hypotension or desaturation that may not preventable during course surgery. While these events insignificant in young elder, they lead serious consequences, cardiac ischemia arrhythmias [3, 4]. This chapter reviews basic concepts discusses choice anesthesia.
