Perceived Health as Related to Income, Socio-economic Status, Lifestyle, and Social Support Factors in a Middle-aged Japanese

摘要: BACKGROUND: Few studies have examined the association of perceived health with socio-economic status, especially income, and social isolation support in Japan. The purpose this study is to clarify associations among health, lifestyle, as well factors, middle-aged elderly Japanese.METHODS: Subjects were 9,650 participants aged 47-77 years who completed a self-administered questionnaire 2000 second survey population-based cohort (the Komo-Ise study). included items on sociodemographic support, past history chronic disease health. Perceived was dichotomized into excellent or good fair poor A logistic regression analysis used determine odds ratios characteristics lifestyle relation self-reported health.RESULTS: We found that household physical activity, sleeping, smoking habit, BMI had strong Japanese men women. Male subjects tended report income decreased. results for women differed low stronger selfreported than income.CONCLUSIONS: indicated associated residents
