摘要: This study was designed as the qualitative arm of a larger quantitative (N= 156) relationships among social role quality, physical health, and psychological well-being women living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A subset 20 midlife late-life from this sample participated in semistructured interviews specific aims investigating how fulfilling they found roles to be, including their spouse, mother, worker, homemaker roles, while contending RA, what circumstances made experiences more positive. The results current followup illustrate difficult it can be fulfill during exacerbations illness formative adult years. circumstance that best facilitated positive experience unburdening obligations grew older. Implications for nursing practice are discussed.
