摘要: Ceramic composite materials based on boron carbide were hot pressed utilising in situ reaction of powder with 40 wt.% titanium dioxide sintering additive. The samples prepared at temperature 1850 °C, pressure 35 MPa, and time 60 min vacuum atmosphere about 20 Pa. Optimisation regime concentrating both heating stage application enabled to prepare fully dense ceramic composed matrix 29.5 vol.% diboride secondary phase. reached average density 99.3 %, hardness 29.8 GPa, fracture toughness 6.9 MPa.m1/2.
