摘要: Abstract Background Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection. With the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of an indication for HPV vaccine males, it important to assess male college student's knowledge, perceived risk, sources information, as well barriers communication. Methods This was cross-sectional survey study 165 students. The participants completed about vaccine. Results Among participants, most males had poor in that 132 (80.0%) reported having sexual intercourse, but only 20 (12.1%) being at risk acquiring HPV. Information were commercials/advertisements, friends, news health education programs. Concern vaccine's long-term effects cost frequently barriers. Most students regular healthcare provider, difficulty getting their finding time discuss with provider. Additionally, relying on parents when making medical decisions willing provider make informed decision Conclusions Educational programs providing information HPV, vaccine, communication skills training are needed students, parents, providers. Findings from this will guide development messages educational should be tested future research.
