摘要: Abstract The nucleotides ppGpp and pppGpp accumulate when wild-type, but not rel-, strains of Escherichia coli are starved for required amino acids. These compounds synthesized on ribosomes, in the presence product rel gene, from GDP GTP; ATP is used as phosphate donor. The signal making these an uncharged tRNA ribosomal acceptor site. accumulated if ribosomes actively engaged protein synthesis.
