摘要: A hallmark of positive-sense RNA viruses is the formation membranous shelters for safe replication in cytoplasm. Once considered invisible to immune system, these viral are now found be antagonized through cooperation autophagy proteins and anti-microbial GTPases. This coordinated effort guiding GTPases functions against not only but also cytoplasmic vacuoles containing bacteria or protozoa, suggesting a broad immune-defense mechanism disparate vacuolar pathogens. Fundamental questions regarding this process remain: how host recognizes structures as target, bring shelters, recruited disrupt shelters. In review, discussed, answers which will significantly advance our understanding response vacuole-like pathogens, thereby paving way development broadly effective strategies public health.
