摘要: The most feared complication for any total knee replacement (TKR) surgeon and their patient is deep infection. treatment often results in prolonged hospitalisation, a period of marked limitation mobility the prospect major reconstructive procedure with compromised outcome. infection rate after primary TKR usually reported to range from 0.5 2 percent [1, 34]. This serious problem despite modern technology rigorous prophylaxis. Peersman et al. [28] recently 0.43 % consecutive series 6439 replacements performed vertical laminar airflow body-exhaust suits. encouraging, however, considering increasing number patients TKR, still concern [2, 3, 29, 30, 38, 41].
