摘要: Beside de novo fatty acid synthetase, two kinds of elongating systems have been found in Mycobacterium smegmatis; they are the malonyl-CoA-dependent, acyl carrier protein (ACP)-requiring system (fatty synthetase II, named by K. Bloch's group, 1969) and acetyl-CoA-dependent ACP-non-requiring one (acetyl-CoA-dependent elongation acids reported us, 1977). Now, a third system, malonyl-CoA-dependent ACP-non-requiring, has isolated from an extract this microorganisms, separately each previous systems. Primer specificity cofactor requirements, especially pyridine-nucleotide-coenzyme, last also distinguish it previously known All three systems, however, were soluble fraction M. smegmatis, therefore regulatory mechanism for these should be investigated hereafter.
