Why are the G-20 Data Gaps Initiative and the SDDS Plus Relevant for Financial Stability Analysis?

摘要: In the wake of recent global crisis international community is giving an increased focus on stability financial system, so-called analysis. With increasing need for data sets to undertake this analysis, question naturally arises as what types are needed? While various initiatives underway, two at forefront are: (1) IMF/FSB G-20 Data Gaps Initiative (DGI) created by statistical and endorsed Finance Ministers Central Bank Governors well IMF’s International Monetary Financial Committee, (2) new Special Dissemination Standard Plus (SDDS Plus), aimed particularly economies with systemically important sectors. This paper explains relevance DGI analysis close link SDDS Plus. The importance in promoting dissemination public a core set emphasized.
