摘要: Purpose: To examine functional mobility status on discharge day after total knee and hip replacement surgery in post-acute care hospital setting. Methods: Eighty patients following were assessed with the de Morton Mobility Index (DEMMI), Timed-Up-and-Go (TUG) Five Times Sit to Stand Test, Western Ontario McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC) measurements of mobility-related activity day. Demographic information comprised age, body mass index, gender, type surgery, length stay. Since normality distribution data was not confirmed, nonparametric Mann-Whitney-U test used for analysis. Results: Forty (mean age: 66.83±7.39 years) underwent (TKR) 40 62.63±11.95 (THR). No statistical difference found index length stay between (p>0.05). TKR had better results mean WOMAC score, Physical Functioning Score DEMMI score compared THR (p<0.05). TUG Test time showed a trend deterioration than patients. The pain, stiffness scores similar Discussion: Results this study indicated that at would be THR. Functional evaluation lower-extremity before should included acute clinical physiotherapy practice guide physiotherapists design effective intervention strategies improve mobility.
