摘要: There has been an increasing interest in deploying renewable energy technologies as a means of supplying needs more sustainable manner. This paper describes the recent evolution market for solar photovoltaics (PVs) and discusses likely future developments. It provides overview niche markets which PVs are already competitive with other forms electricity provision assessment larger currently supported by governments, utilities industry expectation that they will become future. The briefly addresses remaining barriers to deployment outlines principal policy mechanisms being used foster development both technology different countries. evidence indicates PV may be on verge rapid expansion economies-of-scale improve production economics, government programmes encourage large-scale applications viable.
