摘要: We analyze the effect of climate policies using a two-region partial equilibrium model resource extraction. The regions are heterogeneous in various aspects, such as their and extraction costs. obtain analytical numerical conditions for Green Paradox to occur consequence unilateral increase carbon taxation backstop subsidy. In order assess welfare consequences policy changes, we calibrate real world parameter values. find that forming ‘climate coalition’ introducing even absence concerns is best course action largest fossil fuel-using regions.
