Hierarchical MPEG 2 video transmission on ADSL for a higher quality of service (QoS)

摘要: This paper considers the problem of improving QoS MPEG 2 video transmission over ADSL, which is an emerging technology that permits high bit rate subscriber lines. For this purpose, we propose to combine use DP (Data Partitioning) scalable mode and a modified coded DMT based ADSL modem provides two different Bit Error Rates (BERs) for transmission: important data such as headers synchronization modules are better protected than less data, resulting in improvement.
