摘要: Abstract This article highlights the value and utility of school-based mental health services in addressing unmet needs Latino children families United States. To better understand our nation’s rapidly growing population, such critical factors as demographic characteristics, cultural values, family structure are examined. Special attention is devoted to daunting challenges resultant trauma experienced by many these who have recently immigrated this country from war-torn homelands Central America. The status addressed, along with various service delivery issues psychotherapeutic modalities facilitate their personal adjustment social adaptation a culturally sensitive manner. concludes presentation an innovative program that offers range demonstrated effectiveness aiding families.
