摘要: High rate stimulations of the neuromuscular system, such as continuous whole body vibration, tonic vibration reflex and high frequency electrical stimulation, are used in physiological research with an increasing interest. In these studies, neuronal circuitries underlying responses remain unclear due to problem determining exact latencies. We present a novel “cumulated average method” determine latency during stimulation nervous system which was proven be significantly more accurate than classical method. The method, cumulant density analysis, reveals relationship between two synchronously recorded signals function lag signals. comparison new method technique their relative accuracy tested using computer simulation. simulated EMG response constructed exactly 40 ms. accurately indicated value (40 ms).
