摘要: A thriving field of inquiry, the psychological science money has recently witnessed an upsurge in research attention. In present volume, we bring together and integrate a number theoretical perspectives on question ‘how does affect people’s mind, brain, behavior?’ Importantly, go beyond previous reviews by zooming biological processes—triggered money—that shape experiences behavior. Three central topics, which recur throughout are as follows: First, researchers have studied time course human mind processes money, identifying crude quick processing stage that occurs directly after money-related stimuli perceived. Second, underpinnings pinpointing role reward circuit (e.g., ventral striatum) money. Third, how inputs into meaning-making help people to make sense situation they find themselves in. Classic recent insights discussed context each these themes, with special focus link between behavioral outcomes performance, decisions, cooperation). As such, volume works towards broad, yet process-oriented understanding impact action.
