摘要: Abstract This study was undertaken to determine whether patients with severe rheumatoid arthritis and irreparable rotator cuff rupture can be treated successfully the Grammont shoulder arthroplasty. Seven (8 shoulders) nonreconstructible lesions Larsen stage-V radiographic changes of glenoid humeral head underwent a reverse The Constant score improved from mean 17 points (range 4 25) preoperatively 63 41 79) at 54 months 48 73) after strength 90° abduction measured 3.6 kg 1 6). Shoulder instability not observed. Complications included septic implant loosening (1 shoulder), aseptic (2), failed acromion osteosynthesis following transacromial approach (3). These data arthroplasty are encouraging respect restoration stability satisfactory function in rheumatoid, cuff-deficient shoulders. However, remained serious problem, approaches were complicated by failure acromial fixation. (J Elbow Surg 2001;10:17-22.)
