摘要: RNA-binding protein Lin28 was originally found as a heterochronic gene which played significant role in the development of Caenorhabditis elegans. The tumor suppressor let-7 is downstream target Lin28, has wide variety genes are involved many aspects cellular activities. By inhibition and directly binding RNAs, plays an important different biological pathological processes including differentiation, metabolism, proliferation, pluripotency, tumorigenesis. Overexpression been reported several kinds cancers correlated with poor outcomes. It shown that could affect progression ways, such promoting increasing glucose inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) cancer stem cells. Decrease expression or reactivation cells induce reverse effect, indicating their therapeutic values developing novel strategies for treatment. Here, we will overview regulatory mechanisms functions cancers.
