Experimental demonstration of reflectarray antennas at terahertz frequencies

摘要: Reflectarrays composed of resonant microstrip gold patches on a dielectric substrate are demonstrated for operation at terahertz frequencies. Based the relation between patch size and reflection phase, progressive phase distribution is implemented array to create reflector able deflect an incident beam towards predefined angle off specular direction. In order confirm validity design, set reflectarrays each with periodically distributed 360 × elements fabricated measured. The experimental results obtained through time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) show that up nearly 80% amplitude deflected into desired direction frequency close 1 THz. radiation patterns reflectarray in TM TE polarizations also different This work presents attractive concept developing components efficiently manipulate emerging communications.
