摘要: Strong evidence supports the health benefits of breastfeeding contributing to public campaign improve initiation and duration globally, yet continuation rates are persistently low in UK. Inadequate support from professionals appears be an underlying feature, aggravated by a dearth professional education that uses biopsychosocial approach. This paper describes how using women's video narratives their lived experience within higher impacted positively on attitudes group midwives relation supporting women. It reports qualitative element two-phase sequential mixed methods study where focus generated rich data about why educational intervention altered attitudes. Analysis was thematic. Six major themes emerged, ‘listening learning real experiences’; ‘generation emotions’; ‘acquisition new knowledge learning’; ‘reflection practice’; ‘promotion independent learning’ ‘sharing ideas with peers’. ‘Listening experiences’ central learning, pivotal attitudinal change, motivating intense need practice.
