摘要: HSV efficiently infects dendritic cells (DCs) in their immature state and induces down-regulation of costimulatory adhesion molecules. As mice, infection human DCs also leads to rapid progressive apoptosis, we show that both early late viral proteins contribute its induction. Because topical is confined the epidermis, Langerhans are expected be major APCs draining lymph nodes. However, recent observations murine models T cell activation mediated by nonepidermal DC subsets, suggesting cross-presentation Ag. In this study provide an explanation for phenomenon, demonstrating HSV-infected apoptotic readily phagocytosed uninfected bystander DCs, which, turn, stimulate virus-specific CD8+ clones.
