Reference proton stopping cross sections for five elements around the maximum

摘要: Abstract Absolute values of the proton stopping cross sections Al, Ni, Cu, Ag and Au are presented which have been carefully determined by different methods in two laboratories. An analytical function depending on four parameters is fitted to these data. As chosen range from 30 700 keV covers energies where powers reach their maxima, for position E m height s maxima deduced. These data compared available theories: one hand theories predict a smooth dependence × , other show how arise contributions individual subshells target atom.
