摘要: Background: Active living integrates physical activity into one’s daily routine. Current understanding of active among children and their families in rural communities is limited. A community perspective critical to understand the contextual factors that influence children’s areas. Purpose: The purpose this study was identify perceived environmental support or hinder develop testable hypotheses inform future interventions for reducing unhealthy weight gain preventing chronic diseases associated with inactivity. Methods: PhotoVOICEwasusedtoexploreactivelivingopportunitiesandbarriersforchildrenlivinginfour low-income, U.S. communities.
