摘要: Abstract The effects of logging and associated road construction on four California trout salmon streams were investigated from 1966 through 1969. This study included measurements streambed sedimentation, water quality, fish food abundance, stream nursery capacity. Logging was found to be compatible with anadromous production when adequate attention given protection channel clearance. carrying capacities for juvenile salmonids some sections increased high temperatures, low dissolved oxygen concentrations, adverse sedimentation did not accompany the logging. Extensive use bulldozers steep slopes building in channels during debris removal caused excessive narrow streams. Sustained prolonged conditions one delayed recovery. Other aspects Pacific Coast are discussed.
