摘要: Superexcited states of neutral nitrogen molecules, with excited ion cores, are prepared above the N2 ionization limit femtosecond pulses 23.1 eV photons, produced by high-order harmonic generation. Time-resolved predissociation superexcited molecules is observed detection electronically atomic N*(4p) and/or N*(3d) product formation, photoionization atoms a delayed 805 nm pulse. An upper lifetime 25 fs determined for states, attributed to sum autoionization and pathways, based on risetime products. The observation dissociation products from short-lived shows that decay pathways compete an ultrafast timescale.
