摘要: Abstract Background Large-group behavioral smoking cessation interventions are effective for helping people quit smoking, but have not been evaluated using videoconferencing technology rural and remote participants who no access to in-person programs. The objectives of this study were provide evaluate an evidence-based group program rural/remote smokers wishing through a Telehealth link at their local Health Centre. Methods From September 2005 April 2008, eight separate eight-session, 4 month long programs offered both in person urban Calgary up six sites simultaneously via videoconferencing.
