摘要: Increasing multiple myeloma incidence and mortality among the elderly in industrialized nations has been attributed to associated environmental carcinogens. Age-specific rates United States from 1968 1989 were analyzed using Strehler-Mildvan modification of Gompertz relationship between aging mortality. The results suggest that worsening influences are not responsible for increasing elderly. Differential survival, a concept originally popularized by Charles Darwin, its effect upon surviving gene pool an population is alternative explanation
