The changing panorama of cerebral palsy in Sweden. VI. Prevalence and origin during the birth year period 1983-1986.

摘要: The prevalence and origin of cerebral palsy in children born between 1983 1986 are reported. crude live-birth was 2.49 per 1000; 1.56 for term births, 0.93 preterm births. increasing trend from 1970 persisted statistically significant both groups. most pronounced increase during 1983-1986 occurred palsy. use neuroimaging techniques made the timing damaging events more reliable. In palsy, convincingly prenatal 28% cases perinatal 25%. particular critical period brain damage underlying considered to be weeks 26-34 gestation, i.e. when periventricular structures extraordinarily vulnerable. infants, this occurs late intrauterine life, while majority preterms it early neonatal life. total, two-thirds lesions might have been acquired these decisive months development.
