Deep Near-Infrared Observations and Identifications of Chandra Sources in the Orion Molecular Cloud 2 and 3

摘要: We conducted deep NIR imaging observations of the Orion molecular cloud 2 and 3 using QUIRC on 88-inch telescope University Hawaii. Our purposes are 1) to generate a comprehensive source catalog these star forming clouds, 2) identify counterpart Chandra X-ray sources that have no in 2MASS catalog. J-, H-, K-band about mag deeper than those 2MASS, well match current observation. detected 1448 sources, for which we derived position, magnitude, counterpart. Using this catalog, identified 42% 2MASS-unIDed sources. The nature discussed their colors spatial distributions, dozen protostar brown dwarf candidates identified.
