Methods of groundwater recharge estimation in eastern Mediterranean—a water balance model application in Greece, Cyprus and Jordan

摘要: Groundwater recharge studies in semi-arid areas are fundamental because groundwater is often the only water resource of importance. This paper describes balance method estimation three different hydro-climatic environments eastern Mediterranean, northwest Greece (Aliakmonas basin/Koromilia basin), Cyprus (Kouris basin and Larnaka area) Jordan (northern part Jordan). For Aliakmonas basin, was calculated for sub-catchments. Upper (Koromilia a watershed-distributed model developed maps were generated on daily basis.
