Lipid Composition in the Classification of Nocardiae and Mycobacteria

摘要: Ninety-six strains of aerobic actinomycetes with a type IV cell wall (major amounts meso-diaminopimelic acid, arabinose, and galactose) were analyzed for the presence mycolic acids nocardomycolic acids. The method used was comparatively simple permits separation these organisms into two groups: mycobacteria nocardiae. In general, received as contained acids, confirming generic assignment made by other methods. On basis acid content, Mycobacterium brevicale, M. rhodochrous, thamnopheos should be placed in genus Nocardia, on recently isolated from bovine farcy Mycobacterium. Nocardia farcinica considered nomen dubium N. asteroides species genus.
