摘要: Due to the increase of computing capabilities standard processing units, it is possible perform complex analyses, considering a number nonlinearities, such as geometric, material and boundary (contact) even on personal computers. In paper, authors have analysed efficiency accuracy PC’s FEM calculations performed in Abaqus CAE 2017 software example critical load assessment thin-walled steel column element with selected nonlinearities. A cross-section shape built-up used by an international structures manufacturer was adopted. The analysis serves check behavior their product. Several types analysis, strictly based EN regulations were performed. turn, relation computational time adopted type obtained. Moreover, produced values different independent calculation compared analysed. future development field, mainly full-scale experimental tests, also highlighted.
