摘要: Hip osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common forms musculoskeletal disorders. Although different factors have been identified as potential causes labral tear and cartilage degeneration, exact pathogenesis for idiopathic OA still not completely delineated. Given crucial role mechanical behavior in degenerative process, analyzing contact mechanics articular layers during activities could contribute to understanding pathology. This paper presents subject-specific non-invasive methods which jointly encompass anatomy, kinematics dynamics. unique combination offers new ways individualize diagnostic by using a physically-based simulation motion. The results showed that strong deformations peak stresses were observed extreme hip postures. Medical experts correlated these findings with locations detected abnormalities. These observations strongly suggest repetitive within joint lead early OA.
