摘要: This work compares the thermal degradation kinetics of neat atactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (a-PMMA), and its composites with fullerene C60 multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) as revealed by desorption mass-spectrometry (TDMS), gravimetry analysis (TGA). TDMS suggests decrease stability PMMA-C60 composite compared to PMMA. result is supported increased rate defect formation in electronic paramagnetic resonance, EPR, technique. On other hand, TGA shows an increase temperatures for those a-PMMA. The discrepancies between data are discussed taking into account difference experimental conditions two approaches, i.e. size sample. parameters which need be thoroughly controlled kinetic studies outlined.
